The Mata Vaishno Devi Temple is the very well known and popular temple of Hindu Goddess. It is also known as Trikuta, Mata Rani and Vaishnavi. It is located in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in the town Katra. From Katra the distance to the Bhawan is 12Km in the Trikuta Mountains. It is noted that every year more than 10 Million people visit there.
Vaishno Devi is the form of Mata Mahalakshmi. The pilgrimage of this holy shrine is considered as the oldest and the holy shine of Hindus in India. It is popularly known in the world “Moonh Mangi Murad Puri Karne Wali Mata” (It means it will be fulfilled whatever you pray there). The mountain is named Trikuta because the bhawan is surrounded with three mountains then named as Trikuta Parvat (Mounatain).
It is believed that it is the second most visited shrines of India after Tirumala Venkateshwara Temple. The navratars are celebrated throughout the country; it is the festival of Mata Rani. It is celebrated in the “Navratras” to pray for the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana. Today in many temples and other devotee place read Ramayana during those 9 days.
Mata killed Bahiron nath, now there is a temple of Bahiron Nath, after the Darshan of Vaishno Devi, you have to go for the Darshan of Bahiron Nath, because Mata Rani has promised him that every person who is coming for the darshan his or her darshan will be completed when he go to the Bhairon Nath temple.
It is believed that Mata Rani has killed Bahiron Nath. Rather than Navratras, the Tuesday is the day of Vaishno Mata. Lots of people comes and darshan on Tuesday and during Navratras.
