You must hear about these lines “What we pay attention to, we become.” I have observed so many things in every day life that how much we are distracted in our life. We are distracted with so many things in our life like mobile phones, to do list, the job, the clutter, the family, the media, the email and the social engagements. We are like a bee who are moving from one distraction to another without any aim behind it and at the end of the day we feel like exhausted and we ask question that why it happened to us and we feel irritated.
So one day what I did is that I sit quiet in the morning before the distractions started to begin. I started with the Meditation process and I realized that my mind is piled up with lot of things and all those things are revolving inside the mind to distract us from one. So it is better to spend some time in stillness, solitude and silence first, than you can see that rest of your life come into focus.
Now think how come the great spiritual masters have become so great. I know they all have some kind of ideology but they have something very common. And that common thing is that they spent lot of time sitting quiet and doing meditation. In meditation they put lot of focus on their Soul.
I am not saying that I will achieve spiritual mastery over it soon. But to be more focused in life, I would use some of those ingredients in our life. Have a look on below three steps to begin this journey:
Simplify: Release as much as unnecessary clutter from your life.
Meditate: Before the distractions begin every morning, sit quiet and alone to meditate.
Focus: Always decided what you want to focus today and spend time on that while staying over there on it for that much time.
